History of Lviv medical school is more than 235 years long. University started on 16 November 1784 as medical faculty of Lviv, in 1939 university named as Lviv state medical university and On October 21, 1998, the University was given the name of Danylo Halytsky. Now University name is known as Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University.

Eligibility Criteria for studying MBBS in Ukraine
• The age of the students should be 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the MBBS course.
• The student must have completed class 12thfrom any regular board.
• The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in PCB if the student is from the general category and at least 40% in PCB if the student is from SC/ST/OBC.
• The candidate should have to clear the NEET entrance test followed by the Medical Council of India.
